Racialism is an emphasis on race or racial considerations as in determining policy or interpreting events. Today I feel a kinda racialism treatment. I don’t understand why because it’s a country where lots of people from different culture live together. I don’t know whether it’s the people, the culture, or the policy. It’s been twice and it’s just the same. Not friendly at all. Hmm.. so far, since I’ve just travelled around South East Asia, I wanna say, this is the first country I don’t want to drop by anymore. The point is it’s not as great as ”they” say… very disappointing… Bad experience, bad travel…

Today I decide to have a “holiday”. So, when I look at the 7wonder site (http://www.new7wonders.com/), I got Santorini, and that is the place I remember I wanna go to – when I have a chance of course =’p So, here comes info about that beautiful place (which even though I haven’t been there, but I think that place is beautiful) – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santorini, http://wikitravel.org/en/Santorini Then it led me to the White Towns of Andalusia in Spain – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Towns_of_Andalusia Hmm.. nice places ^^
Yesterday I went to Ko Kret with P Tao. Borrowed camera from Borort, then we left AIT around 9.30 AM. Actually our first destination is a temple near Pak Kret area. I forgot the name of the temple
The temple complex is quite large, it has a school, an opened meditation place, and houses for the monks, and they’re building a museum of Ajarn Panna.
From the temple we’re heading to Ko Kret by taxi, it took around 15 minutes to get to the pier. Then we have to cross Chao Phraya River by boat. Ko Kret is a small island in North Bangkok. The island is surrounded by Chao Phraya River. There are a lot of temple in Ko Kret, and it has pottery villages. There was a bike-rent near the pier, we can rent it for unlimited time to bike around the island. Don’t forget to take a look Ko Kret’s map near the pier also. There’s also a place name Sweet Canal. We need to cross Chao Phraya river in a pier from Ko Kret, but we didn’t get to the pier, so we missed the place. P Tao said it’s a place where they sell a lot of traditional Thai dessert food and sweets. It took almost 3 hours for us to bike around the island. Sometimes we stop by in souvenir shops and temples. We also came to Pottery Village 1 where we could see how they made the pottery. Actually I really want to try to make one of the pottery ;p While biking around the area, I was thinking Ko Kret is like a small community in an island. It’s quite isolated from the city. Everytime they want to go out, they have to cross the river first. Along the way, we can see the villagers’ houses, some are traditional Thai houses. I like biking in Ko Kret, maybe coz I like the bike that I rent ;p It’s more convinient then my bike here in AIT hehe..
Anyway, the trip was very nice. I liked it very much even though it’s quite tiring for both of us ;p
Took picture while waiting for the boat to cross the river to Ko Kret.
Phi Tao and me in front of one of the pottery souvenir shops in Ko Kret.
Watching how they made pottery, too bad I couldn’t upload the video to show how they make this one, I’ll try later na?! ;p
I always have a dream that i could go travel around the world. Visiting new places that i’ve never been to. Learn new things, gain new experiences, feel the atmosphere of each place. Travel does not refer on a schedule, or a boundary. Just go and live. I always ask myself can i do that? Life has been kind to me (as far as i thought :)) But life is what it is, no question.
Like Lao Tzu said, a thousand miles journey begins with a single step. It’s true. And I had my first step. The moment i opened my eyes was the moment when i stepped on my foot on the underground MRT station. It was soo clicked that i could feel the excitement, thrilled. Isn’t it funny when you think that you will find this ‘thing’ in an open space up high there with fancy things etc, but you get it deep in the ground with exhaustion?

Travelling doesn’t always about good things, sometimes you see bad things also. There’s always two sides of everything.? (I put a pull stop and a question mark incase there might be other side or only one side ;p) There’s always possibilities right?!
But those things will make you think and learn. What is it like to be a traveller? i want to know.
This is a part of my journey, will it go somewhere else…
