BPM Software

I just found this video talking about EPC (Enterprise Process Center), one of BPM software in modeling business process. It’s quite nice to look though.

It’s just

It’s hard, when you wanna say something but you cannot say it. It’s harder, when you say it but you say it oppositely. It’s even harder when you wanna deny it but your heart cannot. And you’re drifted away. Hopeless? No. Surrender? Hmm. I wanna say it, heartily. Nobody knows. Could I have the courage?! It’s just a confusing distracting fuzzy heart-think thing inside ;)

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I just watched this movie yesterday. It was very good, I like watching the movie. Actually I’ve never watched Indiana Jones movies before :’D *as far as I remember* hehe.. Anyway, the actions are nice! Even though some actions, maybe most of the actions are impossible to be happened ;p but I still enjoy watching. Everybody should watch that movie ;)

BPM

What is business process management?

There is a lot of definitions of BPM, but, the point is a method to optimize business processes (means perform business processes more effective and efficient). It is also involves managing business processes to be able to adapt to the dynamic business environment.

The key of BPM lies in its lifecycle, which is a continuous cycle that allow companies to iterate the cycles, improve its business processes, change business procesess to cope with the changing of company’s business objective and business environment.

Why does company need to implement BPM?

First, company needs to manage its business processes. To be able to manage, you have to have the knowledge of your business processes. Then, when business processes are managed, you will want to make those processes more effective and efficient. The more effective and efficient process you carry, the more you can gain benefit and give value to your customers and stakeholders. Then you will think of to be more and more effective and efficient, which is called optimizing your business processes.

But this business process management is not as easy and fast as you think. Business process can be complex and large that involves many resources. To apply BPM, there’s BPM system as software system that is driven by process design to manage business process, which is usually presented graphically. Some might call BPM suite or BPM tools. BPM system acts as a tool for you to model your business processes (like a workflow).

What is the benefit of implementing BPM?

Of course there’s a lot of benefit you can get. I’ll answer and continue this later ;)

Do all companies perform BPM? How about small companies? Do they need it too? Does BPM carry on strategic or tactical level in organization? huaaa…

The Incredible Hulk

Last night I watched this movie, it was good :) At first, I didn’t quite interested with the movie trailer, but everybody seemed shouting “I wanna watched The Hulk”, bla3x… so, I was curious to see the movie either. Such heroes in comic book stories, I don’t usually fond of, just so so. There was no “boring” moment in the movie I guess, except the quarrel between The General and his daughter Elizabeth. I also thought, that the moments where Elizabeth has to calm The Hulk down were boring =’p Maybe it’s just the uniqueness of the story =D And I feel that the movie sound was “louder” than other movies. The animation of The Hulk is nice, I like it. Some scenes, I don’t know was it meant to be funny or not, but I just didn’t laugh that much =’] was the scene when The Hulk’s head hit the top of the cave. Overall, I like the movie.

Many Lives – end

I have finished reading this book. The epilog is somehow, almost the same with what I’ve described in the previous post. If I think back, the story is like “vantage point” movie where one incident was repeated, then we see from many people’s point of views until the incident happens. In Many Lives, the stories of each person who died in the accident are varied and unique, and all are still strongly bounded with Thai culture; families, works, life, religion. Some life stories I would mentioned to be tragic, another story made me upset. Anyway, each live story can give me some lessons though. It’s interesting.

I like these epilog sentences from the author:

“The only people who can escape being swallowed up by that river are those who are able to swim ashore and find a dry spot on the bank on which to stand, refusing to allow themselves to be carried away by the river of life. But, caught in the torrential currents of life’s river, who among us is capable of doing such thing?”

Canon-rock version

Well, one of my friend like this song, Canon in rock version. I also find it quite interesting =p Check it out ;)

Somewhere over the rainbow

I knew this song when I heard one American Idol’s contestant sang this song. I heard it, and fell in love with this song. Then I haven’t heard for so long, until my friend gave me a YouTube link of Connie Talbot singing this song, and it was very beautiful. Then I found this song again, sung by Norah Jones, and I like it very much ;) so, enjoy…

Kung Fu Panda

I just watched this movie this afternoon :) It was funny and I keep remember a lesson of “There’s no secret ingredients” from it. Anyway, Po, the panda is very funny. I wonder he never get angry, like he always have positive mind even though people around him ignore and under estimate him. It’s a really simple story, but the funny things can make us enjoy the movie very much ;)

Ko Kret

Yesterday I went to Ko Kret with P Tao. Borrowed camera from Borort, then we left AIT around 9.30 AM. Actually our first destination is a temple near Pak Kret area. I forgot the name of the temple :D  The temple complex is quite large, it has a school, an opened meditation place, and houses for the monks, and they’re building a museum of Ajarn Panna.

From the temple we’re heading to Ko Kret by taxi, it took around 15 minutes to get to the pier. Then we have to cross Chao Phraya River by boat. Ko Kret is a small island in North Bangkok. The island is surrounded by Chao Phraya River. There are a lot of temple in Ko Kret, and it has pottery villages. There was a bike-rent near the pier, we can rent it for unlimited time to bike around the island. Don’t forget to take a look Ko Kret’s map near the pier also. There’s also a place name Sweet Canal. We need to cross Chao Phraya river in a pier from Ko Kret, but we didn’t get to the pier, so we missed the place. P Tao said it’s a place where they sell a lot of traditional Thai dessert food and sweets. It took almost 3 hours for us to bike around the island. Sometimes we stop by in souvenir shops and temples. We also came to Pottery Village 1 where we could see how they made the pottery. Actually I really want to try to make one of the pottery ;p While biking around the area, I was thinking Ko Kret is like a small community in an island. It’s quite isolated from the city. Everytime they want to go out, they have to cross the river first. Along the way, we can see the villagers’ houses, some are traditional Thai houses. I like biking in Ko Kret, maybe coz I like the bike that I rent ;p It’s more convinient then my bike here in AIT hehe..

Anyway, the trip was very nice. I liked it very much even though it’s quite tiring for both of us ;p

Took picture while waiting for the boat to cross the river to Ko Kret.

Phi Tao and me in front of one of the pottery souvenir shops in Ko Kret.

Watching how they made pottery, too bad I couldn’t upload the video to show how they make this one, I’ll try later na?! ;p
